On August 12, Cristy Cote invites everyone to celebrate 70th birthday of Facundo Posadas, a prominent milonguero and a tango teacher at Verdi Club in San Francisco. "Alejandro Ziegler cuarteto Tango" is planning a new tour

I'm writing from Buenos Aires to offer my quartet "Alejandro Ziegler cuarteto Tango". We developed our danceable style influenced by the golden age tango orchestras: Di Sarli, Pugliese, Troilo and Gobbi among others.

We have just arrived from our second european tour, 42 concerts in 14 countries, and we are now starting our third tour in Europe.

We are planning our first tour in North America in January- march 2012, and we would like you to organize a milonga or concert with us if you find it suitable.

I'm sending two videos so you can watch us playing live:
Danzarin:
Organito de la tarde:

On my homepage's adress, where you can find our biography and some of my own compositions. We also offer another show based on danceable tango where we support the dancers with our music.

For further information don't hestitate to write me.
Best regards.
Alejandro Ziegler.

Investigating possibility of creating tango community news site

I would like to welcome responsible reporters to participate in this project. You will get permission to become a publishing team member of this blog.

Let us agree that posts should be in conventional news format and curry news important for the global as well as local communities. Links to the private sites are most welcome. Essentially, a news post can be a short description of the news with a link to your site with a bigger article. Please, refrain from the posts which curry no news, but such things like discussions, opinions, and knowledge. These things are suitable in the comments or on the other websites to which you can provide a link.

Let us keep it nice, tight and useful for tango organizers, DJ-s, dancers, teachers, reserchers, musicians, and anyone intersted.

The ultimate goal is to make such site which can pass the criteria for the inclusion to Google News.

I have no intention of retaining my ownership. If the situation is required I am ready to pass it to any organization with a broader social representation of tango comminity.

So, if you want to start publishing your tango news, let me know. I will immediatelly include you in the list of authors.

Thank you,
Igor Polk.
PS Let us try it?
